For this week’s Mintage Monday, I’m returning to Giochix’s new Historical Coins with my favorite of their themes: “Pre-Columbian”!
There are precious few coin sets with a South or Central American theme, and these are beautiful. They are such a natural fit for our copy of Altiplano!
I’m not the biggest fan of the finish on these coins, as the shine and low relief can sometimes make the denominations hard to distinguish across the table, but everything else about them is fantastic, especially for their relatively cheap price.
